From waiting for the sunrise during early mornings to busting a move on the the wedding dance floor during late nights I get stoked to take photos! It’s not the glamor of a nice camera or the opportunity to have a aesthetic insta feed that makes me happy, but rather the chance to meet new people and see new places that makes this job so rewarding. Hanging out and taking photos of you makes my day golden.
Over the years of having a photograph business, I’ve come to appreciate a few important things:
People are dope. I don’t say that lightly! I have yet to meet a person that does not have a unique story of their own to tell, and I can not wait to hear yours.
My camera has given me the ability to express your unique stories thought photographs. I’ve always been a sucker for personalized narratives and how I get to create visual representations of them.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
On a 19-hour road trip to Washington D.C., my mom gave me a challenge that would stick with me for the rest of my life. It was 2013. The year the word selfie was added to the dictionary, and Instagram was on the rise. My mom was frustrated in the narcissism she was seeing become ever prevalent online and wanted to make a change. I was in 8th grade at the time- right when I started to become interested in photography.
There on the highway, my mom challenged me to turn the camera around. She said, "Raleigh, don't just take photos of yourself, but take photos of the beauty around you. Share what you see with people rather than just photos of yourself."
Since then, I still strive to fulfill that challenge. There is beauty around you everywhere. From the laughter of friends around the dinner table to the earliest flowers that start to pop out in the spring to a soft sunset as you drive home from work. So, here I am. As passionate as ever about capturing the beauty around me and the people that make this world beauty.
